Digital DFK
Digital DFK
As part of the research conducted at the DFK Paris and in cooperation with further partners, data collections, digital publications, and research software are created. The DFK is committed to open science and the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Re-usable) data principles, which means making the publications open access, the research data open source, and ensuring the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of digital assets. This is implemented by the DFK Paris in cooperation with its various partners, including most importantly the Specialized Information Service (SIS) arthistoricum.net and the publication platform of the Max Weber Foundation, perspectivia.net.
In collaboration with various partners, the data collections have been archived in research data repositories since 2018. They are presented partly on specific websites, for example, for the publication of digital sources, and partly published as databases on the DFK Paris website.
The DFK Paris develops and maintains digital publishing formats for the publication of the research findings.
Publications of the scholars at the DFK Paris that do not appear in the DFK Paris’ own series are digitally offered via the ART-Dok service of the SIS arthistoricum.net.
Research software is made available for development via GitHub; independently of this, since 2020, the source code has been simultaneously published and saved in research data repositories.
Scholars conducting their research at the DFK Paris are supported in the management of their research data and may take advantage of the institute’s offerings in publishing their data and software!
