Internships (Research, Library, and Administration)
The German Center for Art History (DFK Paris) offers internships lasting three months (20 hours a week) for art history students. Internships can be completed as a compulsory requirement for a degree or through personal initiative. The seven interns assist the management and the directors of research with their projects and in their respective departments: German Publications, French Publications, Electronic Publications, Young Researchers, Digital Humanities, and the DFK Paris Library. In addition, interns are usually asked to assist the Secretariat with some organizational tasks and help at the reception desk in the library if needed.
Interns receive a compensation, momentarily of 3,75€ per hour (around 560€/monthly fulltime) including the usual restaurant checks for France. In addition, 50% of the Navigo Pass is reimbursed for public transportation in Paris (zone 1-5). At the same time, students can apply for a complementary "Erasmus+"-grant for internships abroad.
