The funding and training of predoctoral and early career art historians is one of the core missions of the German Center for Art History (DFK Par­is). Over the more than twenty years of its existence, the institute has provided support to a large number of researchers from around the world. Many past fellowship recipients now hold important positions at universities, museums, and other institutions.

During their stay in Paris, researchers become actively involved in the life of the institute. Maintaining close contact after the funding period ends is also a point of honor for the DFK Paris. The institute keeps in touch with many former fellowship recipients, supporting them in the development of their networks and over the course of their careers.
