Louisa Stank is a Master’s student of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. During her Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies, Art and Visual Cultures and Digital Media at Leuphana University, she worked as a tutor and student assistant at the Institute of Philosophy and Art Studies. She also worked as an art educator at the MARKK in Hamburg, is currently organising a Vienna distribution of the magazine Arts of the Working Class and has been involved in various exhibition projects.
Her research interests include the artistic relations between East and West, Nazi art policy and contemporary art as well as archival theory and the reception of art in digital cultures. Her research focuses on a cultural studies perspective of art history.
From September 2024 to February 2025, she is completing an internship at the Centre allemand d’histoire de l’art in Paris.
