Vita

János Hübschmann studies German Literature, German Language and Art History (B.A.) at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg. His work focuses on attempts to approach and delimit the disciplines of art and literature; taking into account cross-media and interdisciplinary perspectives, from Guido Reni, through Auguste Rodin’s sculpture and surrealism, to German art criticism of the first half of the 20th century. Currently he works on Franz Kafka’s drawings, the publisher Max Brod and the writings of art critic Franz Roh.

From September 2024 to February 2025 he is an intern at the German Center of Art History in Paris.
