The research area Digital Art History is dedicated to the investigation of art historical issues using digital methods. Research on the application and advancement of digital tools occupies a central place, with particular emphasis on Semantic Web technologies. The research area Digital Art History is thematically cross-sectional: it engages with the other three research areas and at the same time benefits from their continual development.
