Earth as a Desert: Surrealism and Ecology (revisited), 

This round table continues a discussion emerging from a CAA panel held virtually in February 2021. As the chairs and participants in the original panel engage in the process of moving from a series of conference papers to an edited book project on surrealism and ecology (Vernon Press), we seek to expand our discussion on surrealism, nature, humanism and ecology, as well as to advertise our preliminary call for papers and invite new voices to join.

The round table is part of the virtual conference Surrealisms 2021 which presents an exciting line-up of panels, roundtables, gallery tours, discussions, and pre-recorded artistic submissions featuring artists and scholars from all around the world.
Sessions will be recorded and available to registered attendees for two weeks after the conference for viewing.

It costs $25 to join the entire event as an individual auditor, and there is a $125 option for an entire group or class to join.
